At the centre of the village, Lapoutroie, the old coaching inn from the eighteenth century is the home of the “‘Musee des Eaux de vie”. The distillation of brandies is a process a little bit magical, sometimes secret, which goes back to the Antiquity. It’s also a real passion for Monette and René de Miscault who gathered a unique collection in this museum: equipment from our own distillery (funded in 1859), stills, collections of “mignonettes”, unusual liqueurs, spoons for the absinth…

A museum patiently enriched through the years, since 1985… To discover in Lapoutroie, at the heart of the “Welche” region, a few kilometres from the “Route des Vins d’Alsace”.
